Home automation, design and energy saving

This is what tomorrow’s luxury homes will look like

As we enter the third decade of the 21st century, one of the most important issues for households is energy saving. In this article we will talk about the houses of the future and how to save on your bill in the present.

Don’t wait for the future

The constant rises in light have caused society to find itself in a great search for solutions to reduce energy consumption. Tomorrow’s houses will allow us to save energy, but we do not have to wait for this to happen in order to spend less on our bills. Savings starts today by contracting light and gas.

Although there are no cheaper electricity and gas companies for everyone, as each marketer has different offers to try to capture different market sectors, and each one of us have a different way of consuming. Truth is that we can use rate comparators to know which company to choose when contracting electricity and gas.

It is interesting to be able to compare the rates of Endesa or Iberdrola to know which are more interesting, or those of Holaluz and Podo. It is also interesting to consult consumer associations such as Facua or the OCU to read opinions on Endesa’s One tariff or Repsol’s Online tariff, among other companies.

Te houses of tomorrow

What will the luxury homes of the future look like? It may be more difficult to guess which roads architecture or interior design will follow. But what we know for sure is that they will be efficient houses, as consumers are looking for energy savings to lower the amount of their energy bills.

And how will they get it? The answer lies in domotics systems and design. Next we are going to give you some clues about which elements of domotics systems will incorporate yes or yes the luxury houses of the future:

Automatic control of blinds and shutters.

In the luxury houses of the future, you can program the time at which the blinds are lifted and lowered or even leave them on autopilot. This will serve to measure the solar radiation that will enter the house, taking advantage of the maximum heat in winter and avoiding its light in summer. The autopilot will be able to know when to raise or lower them depending on the solar energy captured.

Light and motion detectors

By means of the sensors of illumination it will be possible to reduce drastically the expense of electricity, since we will not worry if we have left the lights on. It will be simple. If no one is there, they will be switched off. But this already exists!

Yes, but the houses of the future will detect natural light and regulate the electrical light according to the lighting they capture. So the bulbs will gradually increase in intensity as night falls. Great, isn’t it?

Intelligent thermostats

In the future there will be air conditioning and heating controllers to activate them depending on the temperature of the rooms. They will work thanks to temperature sensors distributed throughout the house and will obey the level of comfort that we have programmed.

Do you want to know about domotics system? We invite you to read the following article and we hope that in the future you can live in one of these houses.
